We enjoyed this park. The manager, Ronnie, was very enthusiastic, and provided a good map and useful information for the surrounding area, even a good place to have breakfast. There are 2 washers and 2 dryers which cost $1.00 each. There is even a TV in the laundry along with a big screen TV in the commons room. The sites are spacious and level. There is free cable and good wi-fi. There are grills at some of the sites and picnic tables on a patio. The bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. We would most certainly camp here again. This is a terrific location to visit Fort Davis and The McDonald Observatory.

Our nightly rate reflects a monthly rate of $380. We enjoyed this resort and would certainly go there again. There are lots of activities provided and buffet dinners every other week. The sites are ample, have a picnic table on a small patio and most are landscaped well, though the lots on the hill are a bit more crowded. The laundry and bathrooms were clean as was the commons room. Since it is right on the bay, the views are magnificent and the bird watching is an added bonus. Many of the people who are there are returnees and have been there for many years. There is even a woman who is a retired beautician and cuts hair. They do not list wi-fi as one of their amenities and, in truth, though they do have it, it is very intermittent.

The rate quoted for 31 days or a monthly rate of $400. Nice resort and we would stay here again. The sites have concrete pads which are mostly level and they are attached to a small concrete patio. Unfortunately, this patio is very close to your neighbor's sewer hose. There are a few tables about but not enough for everyone to have one on their patio. The bathrooms and laundry are exceptionally clean and the trash is picked up daily. They have two WIFI towers and, when one is not working or weak, you can log onto the second. The washers and dryers are usually in good working order. When two washers were broken, they were fixed quickly. On the other hand one of the dryers has been broken for a while now. The staff is friendly and helpful and puts on Sun and Sat breakfasts, a very nice Christmas dinner at which the resort provided the ham and turkey while we all provided the buffet items and other entertainments. The roads are mainly asphalt but there are rock surfaces for each site to get onto the concrete pad. These rock surfaces do make for dust when it is windy. The drive into central San Antonio is about 12 miles and the nearest good shopping is about 6 miles away. However, I did not use this consideration when rating the resort since it is not within their control.

We camped here for 3 nights. The sites are grass with dirt and gravel where you park. There is a picnic table with each site and a fire pit near. Though the sites are smaller and you are somewhat close to your neighbors, it was not a noisy campground. There is a small fishing pond and a playground in the park which is next to the campground. We thoroughly enjoyed the campground but found the nearby showers not what we expected. There are two sets of showers, one in the campground and one near the Library / Community Center at the other end of the park. Firstly, they cost money and secondly they need some updating. We used the showers near the Community Center and, while there was a bench nearby for your clothes, etc., it was outside the shower in the main bathroom. Thus everyone must dress out in the open where there were people coming in to use the bathrooms. As I was going into the shower, a small boy was leaving with his mother. Imagine our surprise had he come in while I was changing. This campground is very convenient to the bike trail which is why we chose it. It is also in town and, should you need to do some last minute grocery shopping, there is a small grocery store in the town. There are also many shops and restaurants should you wish to shop. There is also a winery in town. Had the bathrooms and showers been nicer, this campground would have gotten a higher rating.

We enjoyed this site and would certainly camp here again. The sites were well spaced and ample for a motor home towing a car. The sites were gravel and had a picnic table. The area between sites was grassy with a lot of trees. The area was quiet even though full - probably because the sites were so well spaced. The dump area is open during the day but the park ranger was extremely helpful and opened the dump area for us when we returned after these hours. The bathrooms were cleaned daily.

This is not a traditional campground since it is connected to the Wisconsin State Fair Grounds. Thus, it was really an asphalt parking lot with hookups. That said, we enjoyed it and found it extremely convenient for touring Milwaukee, which we were there to do. It is very well lighted and there is a fence around it. The laundry has many washers and dryers and is very clean. The campground is staffed and these people were very helpful. We were able to log onto the WI-FI without any problem and found the signal very strong. We were not there during the State Fair but were there for the Wisconsin 4H horse show and enjoyed that thoroughly.

We found this to be an excellent campground having gravel sites with a picnic table on each one. It was right on a major bike trail and we were able to bike into Madison itself and around Lake Monona. The showers were clean and had locked doors for each stall. There are no water hook-ups but there are several water faucets spaced throughout the camp and one was close enough to our site that we could hook up to and refill our water tank without having to move. This campground was quiet, clean and the host was very helpful with suggestions. We certainly would camp here again and were sorry to have to leave but I had to return to work.
